Delete a person everywhere
Deletes a Person by your own key, for privacy-deletion requests. Pass externalId or email; externalId is tried first. GainTrace removes the Person’s records at every Company, archived ones included, and fires contact.deleted for each, with source set to api. It is idempotent: if nobody matches, the response is still 204. Send neither parameter and the call returns 422.
This is the same operation as DELETE /contacts. To remove a single record, use DELETE /people/{id}. Their survey data is erased too: answers to your surveys are anonymized (name, email and free text removed, scores and choices kept), imported answers are deleted, and their short personal survey links are deleted.
Scope: write:contacts

Your own stable id for the Person (for example a Segment userId). Exact match.
Used when externalId is absent.
Response
Deleted, or nobody matched.
